Doll Dilemma...instrements... help needed.

I have seen the guiatr from AG, but it wouldn't work, cuz it says American Girl allover it, and doesn't it have pink or something?

Okay, I've got a dilemma.
Well, Raven started a band. He of course is a lead singer, who will play rythmn guitar as well.
Nemesio is lead guitar.
Ben is on bass, and Jesse is covering drums.
Now here's the dilemma.
I know how to make some drums for Jesse.
But the guitars/bass???
I was thinking maybe styrofoam, and sealing it and and painitng it, using polymer clay for detail work....

Does anybody have ANY suggestions?? They have to look real, or I'll get that, "You human, are a moron' look, and they will get scoffed at.
Normally my dolls aren't to picky, but they have to have REAL instrument.

So any help would be great!

Years ago i saw an article in a doll mag about making guitars out of a realy thin type of wood. They sell it in craft stores and it's so thing you can cut it with scissors. I'm not sure what it's called but it might be balsa wood. Anyway i tried to make a guitar for my Slash troll doll but it didn't come out too well since i'm sadly lacking in any sort of crafting talent.

I stuff made from the wood of trees you're talking about is something I'm familiar with- it's called paper! Sorry, that was mean I apologize.

American Girl made a glitter guitar and Sparkle keyboard in 2003. Of course they're retired now but I bought a glitter key board not to long ago on eBay- BIN $26.60. I thought it was a great deal since it was NIB!

I know there are a few websites that sell doll instruments.
Right near the bottom of this page is an electric guitar. I don't have any experience with them.

This site has both electric and normal. I don't have any experience with them either.
